Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Raises Most Money in Chapter’s History

By: Dean J. Condoleo

21 years ago, countless lives were taken away and changed forever. On September 12th, 2022, the men of the Iota Tau Chapter of Sigma Pi and the women of the Zeta Mu Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta raised awareness and funds for their annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Sigma Pi and Gamma Phi Beta held fundraisers through social media and on St. John’s campus throughout the week of 9/5. The organizations managed to raise over $1600. All donations were sent directly to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Along with Gamma Phi Beta and Campus Ministry, we remembered those who lost their lives on that terrible day 21 years ago. Their lives will never be forgotten.

Thank you to our first responders who put their lives on the line each and every day for our protection. We are forever grateful.

Another thank you to Campus Ministry for making this event even more special with a prayer service and a moment of silence.

Lastly, thank you to our donors for supporting an amazing cause, raising the most money we have ever raised for this event.
